Poetry #374
(published March 20, 2008)
Two Poems by Jonathan Hayes: The Sadhu Sits and At Technical Support
by Jonathan Hayes
The Sadhu Sits

the sadhu sits in dung
eating rice from a bowl
made out of a human skull

the monkeys come down
from the trees

and
try to steal his loincloth

At Technical Support

with Earthlink
I found myself on the phone
with a sexy sounding
ladyboy

in the Philippines

— it was better than
the Internet.
