Poetry #382
(published May 15, 2008)
Replicated
by J.R. Salling
Suspicion tells us
there was always an obstacle
to explaining double lives.

A secret above all follows,
one that notes the affinity,
the connections
between anxious mosaics
and the raw image in space.

Frighten the enemy
of the previous realm
and the monkey succumbs.

View the whole play in profile
and glory is obliterated,
abysmal suffering rendered invisible,
no longer any trace.

You run out for coffee
able to go through both slits at once.
