Poetry #379
(published April 24, 2008)
The Bankside
by Debbie Moorhouse
down by the bankside
there's flowers
do you remember?
meadowsweet
I remember
that nettles sting

down by the bankside
there's flying
do you remember?
dragonflies
I remember
mosquitoes bite

down by the bankside
there's fishing
do you remember?
rainbow trout
I remember
fish hooks have barbs

down by the bankside
there's flowers
