Poetry #52
(published August 9, 2001)
Unprivate Death Collection
by Daphna El-Roy

as tapping
the flat fingerprints
of a dead man would feel
a crushed eye
socket of a broken fish
breathless on a shelf
of cracked trinkets
under inspection
as a dead symmetric thing
can be
out of context
