Kung-Fu Hustle is an odd and wonderful film. At its core it is the perfect live-action kung-fu cartoon. It's an artifact from a parallel dimension where Looney Tunes and Bruce Lee mated culturally and produced a rich and flavorful new genre. Shaolin Soccer is also from this glorious universe next door. As I suspect is Stepehen Chao himself.
Best moments:
3:31, when Sing gets a boost from the eagle.
4:45, the motherfucking Buddhist palm attack
Bush, a sports fan in general and a baseball buff in particular, soaked it in, although some of the fans in attendance booed him.
I've never actually watched The West Wing. But all of my friends who recommend it mention this scene as one of the best.
Creationists take 30 home-schooled kids to a science museum to listen to them heckle the displays. This is both horrifying and painful to watch.
A Purity Ball is when a father takes his own daughter out on a date with dinner, gifts and dancing. The daughter pledges her virginity to her father. He owns it. And when she meets someone and decides to marry the father will then sign her virginity over to the husband. Seriously.
A surprisingly funny and well-crafted machinima.
