A complaint against Gambrel, 44, was filed Wednesday in Twin Falls 5th District court asserting three counts of felony prescription fraud and two counts of conspiracy to commit prescription fraud for acts allegedly committed between January 2005 and April 2, 2007 - the same day his retirement was publicly announced.

While still a police officer, Gambrel allegedly obtained medically unnecessary prescriptions for oxycodone and hydro-codone from Sund and then split the drugs with her, according to court records.

Gambrel was named in 16 charges of prescription fraud and conspiracy to commit prescription fraud that were originally levied against Sund in December. Sund gave testimony on April 30, days before Gambrel was charged.
