Hope LArson to adapt "A Wrinkle in Time" into graphic novel

Hope Larson To Adapt ‘A Wrinkle In Time’ Into Graphic Novel Form
Hope Larson will be adapting the classic Madeleine L’Engle novel A Wrinkle In Time into a new graphic novel. The title will also eventually become a movie, but for now, this news promises to deliver a beautiful visualization of a world many fans have only known in their own imaginations. The young author and illustrator shared the news with her fans on her Twitter earlier today, saying “I’m thrilled to announce, at long, long last, that I’m writing and illustrating the graphic novel adaptation of A WRINKLE IN TIME!” Larson is known for her writing, illustrating, and cartooning talents — usually in the world of graphic novels. The Eisner Award-winner’s titles include Salamander Dream, Gray Horses, Chiggers, and her latest, Mercury.

Kate Beaton's Literature Comics: The Scarlet Letter

4/20 Special: The Greatest Drugs in Superhero Comics

From the internet's drinking buddy, Chris Sims and David Uzumeri. 4/20 Special: The Greatest Drugs in Superhero Comics - ComicsAlliance | Comics culture, news, humor, commentary, and reviews
The Terrigen Mists
Chris: So let me get this straight: When they're teenagers, the Inhumans go into a room full of crystals and breathe in the smoky Terrigen Mists, and later emerge with new abilities and perspectives. Is that about right? David: That or they become complete burnout slaves, the Alpha Primitives. Chris: And this was created by Kirby, not Ditko? Huh. Still, it does explain why Jethro Tull remains popular to this day on the Blue Area of the Moon. David: Well, if Ditko created them they'd probably gain the ability to recognize the absoluteness of right and wrong and then walk around being gigantic pricks. Chris: Terrigen probably has the most dramatic side-effects of any comic book drug. I mean, even a good result is going to turn you into a fish-man or give you horse-hooves or grant you super-badass karate powers that emerge from your tiny, pencil-thin moustache.

Kate Beaton draws Penny Arcade

Gabe and Tycho (aka Mike and Jerry) are either sick or recovering from their PAX East convention or doing a book tour or maybe just tired from scoring above Obama on Time's internet poll of the most influential people. In any event they are having some sweet webcomic artists take the strip for a spin. Today is Kate Beaton, who is one of the Poor Mojo Official (K)rush Objects (see also: Tesla, Twain, Bruce Campbell, Marie Curie, Baudelaire, the Duncan Bros., and many more).
