Kwame yells "lynch-mob," "nigger" in a crowded music-hall
Moving from liar to douche-bag to asshole. Ladies and gentlemen, the Mayor of Detroit:
Detroit Mayor Lashes Out at Foes, Media
Kilpatrick, who is black, said he and his family have been subjected to racial slurs, as well as threats....
"I don't believe that a Nielsen rating is worth the life of my children or your children," he said. "This unethical, illegal, lynch mob mentality has to stop."
Yeah, Kwame, everyone who is sick of your corruption is a racist.
Tom Barwin, then city manager for the city of Ferndale, looked forward to that promise being fulfilled. But he never saw it....
... what does attempting to deflect blame by playing the race card do?
"In terms of public policy," Barwin says, "playing that card is a disaster."...
Time to take the higher ground, right Kwame? Show us how to defeat racism.
Detroit Mayor Exhumes 'Buried' Slur
But although Kilpatrick and other black leaders symbolically buried the racial slur in a mock funeral last July, he uttered it in his State of the City address Tuesday, which was carried live on local television and radio stations....
"In the past 30 days, I've been called a nigger more than anytime in my entire life," said Kilpatrick, 37. "In the past three days, I've received more death threats than I have in my entire administration."
This utter bastard Kilpatrick has done more to get right-wing Republican Attorney General Mike Cox elected Michigan's next governor than anyone. Mike ought to give Kwame a blowjob for providing him with soundbites like these:
"What he said cannot be unsaid, and he is not fit to be mayor anymore," Cox, who is white, said in an interview on WJR-AM. "He's a very talented guy, but he has overstayed his day. He should resign, he should quit, whether he's charged or not."
But you don't have to be our next governor to call for Kwame to get the fuck out.
Freep | Poll: Support for mayor erodes | 54% of those surveyed say Kilpatrick should resign
One of the most surprising reactions to the speech came from longtime WDIV-TV anchor Carmen Harlan, who delivered a rare commentary Tuesday night after the mayor’s speech. Directly addressing him, she scolded the mayor for the language he employed at the end of his speech.
“Using emotionally charged words like ‘the N-word’ and phrases like ‘hate-driven’ and ‘bigoted assault,’ even ‘lynch-mob mentality,’ stirs the core of even my emotions,” said Harlan, who assured the mayor she loves Detroit as much as him.
Holy shit, Kwame, if a talking-head Detroit-boosting zombie like Carmen Harlan is breaking bad on you, you're done like dinner. Go.

I live in the city and this speech made me so angry... I just hope something can be done before it is again left to a vote by the people. Because the voting public in Detroit loves Kwame FOR HIS FAULTS. The more he does these things, lies (and sticks his blatant lies right in your face... "accusing me WITHOUT RESEARCH OR PROOF" umm... hello, there has been NOTHING BUT RESEARCH AND PROOF!!!!), the more Detroit voters say "yeah, see, we're not going back to slavery... we love our mayor!" It's becoming an incredibly awkward time in Detroit. It doesn't need to be said, but all this is shameful because Kwame is charasmatic, a great speaker, and full of youthful energy. Okay, now that that's out of the way... I just wish someone could find a way to get him out of here before he does more damage than he's done...
