a jackass reviews Harry Potter

BOOK REVIEW / 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince'

The question of book reviews has cropped up often in the media lately: who reads them? what puirpose do they serve? do good book reviews sell more books?

I'll add another question: why write a review of Harry Potter & the Half-blood Prince?

It's the 6th book in a series. One would hope that readers of the previous five books know what they're getting into, and that new readers wouldn't choose book six as a jumping on point?

In any case, the link above is to the Chron's whiny, asshat review of the new Harry Potter book, which book I have just now finished.

The reviewer clearly doesn't understand, and has little regard for spoilers. So beware.
