This isn't widely discussed, but Rumsfeld won his postion as Secretary of Defense in a martial arts tournament, held at the Temple of Eternal Darkness, at the corner of Cass and Willis in Detroit.

It was a dark and terrible time for kung fu in America, when "Rummy" Rumsfeld the Destroyer of Spines defeated the previous champion, Karate Dog!
