images.jpgThe author of the cookbook/entertainment guide "I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence," Sedaris... jotted down the mushy or outlandish greetings fans requested, and improvised her own irreverent additions.

Cam Tims of Raleigh sought an autograph for a friend who always arrives too early at dinner parties (a faux-pas Sedaris slams in her book), the author wrote "Shame on you," then filled the page with additional insults. "Loser. Freeloader. Desperate. Drunk. We hate you. Stay away."
